NJM Packaging was recently reminded of how much our packaging systems have changed over the years. Have you ever seen a blue NJM labeler?
Customers who have worked with us during our 100 year history know that NJM Packaging knows labeling. This picture speaks a thousand words. Here is a machine that has been operating in the industry since 1982.
Today, we received a parts order for replacement parts on this 26-year-old labeler, as well as an order for other assorted spare parts to keep that machine running in a customer’s plant. NJM built this AutoColt I labeler for a pharmaceutical company to place a full wrap label, on a 2 oz., 4 oz. or 16 oz. round bottle, at a speed of 60-100 bpm, with a lot & date coder and an electronic counter with digital read out. What about that robin’s egg blue for a color! We used to paint all of our machines almost three decades ago.
The times may have changed but NJM has not wavered in building quality packaging equipment. Our robust, sturdy and rugged labelers, cappers and assorted machines built over the years remain in operation. The AutoColt machine has received many face lifts since it was first manufactured in the early 1980s as the AutoColt I. It was revamped and renamed the AutoColt II when it began being manufactured around 1991, and then in late 1998, we launched our most popular AutoColt, the AutoColt III.
And the good news? The AutoColt continues to be so reliable to get the big jobs done that NJM just engineered and launched the 5th generation, Model 426 AutoColt, in late 2012.
Do you have an NJM labeler that needs some spare parts, or service? We still provide the parts and service for many of those old, sturdy workhorses. Give us a call at 603-448-3940 and let us quote those replacement parts.
