Three cheers for the New Year! 2020 was a difficult one for so many people and businesses all over the world, and we are excited to welcome in a fresh start with 2021.
But first, a recap. Our biggest news from last year was the addition of Pharmaworks to the ProMach Pharma family. A leader in thermoforming solutions for blister packs, Pharmaworks also offers feeding, transferring, collating, cartoning and vision/inspection systems as well as complete blister line integration services, all backed by their comprehensive aftermarket support program.
In 2020, ProMach Pharma was deeply involved in the preparations for a COVID-19 vaccine. Much of our equipment is ideal for vaccine packaging applications, like the VR-72 labeler from WLS. Fully servo-driven with a modular design, the continuous-motion, pressure-sensitive VR-72 applies wrap-around labels to vials and other cylindrical products at high speeds.
Pharmaworks also joined the fight against COVID-19, leveraging their capabilities to produce and donate face shields to help meet the needs of healthcare professionals and first responders. Their quick response helped produce over 42,000 face shields to date.
We debuted a number of brand new systems this year. NJM introduced the enhanced Courser 230 vial/syringe labeler, featuring a patented design with a new vertical label spool dispenser, improved ergonomics and labeling accuracy. Pharmaworks launched the TF1pro, an advanced yet compact blister machine that runs up to 100 indexes per minute.
Looking ahead, we hope to connect with our wonderful customers in person at trade shows soon. In the meantime, keep your eyes on this blog as well as the NJM, WLS and Pharmaworks social media pages to stay up to date with our new product news and announcements:
