ProMach Pharma Solutions offers much more than out-of-the-box, plug-and-play equipment. When our customers need something more specialized, our experienced engineers deliver.
NJM recently adapted the Trotter 127 pressure sensitive labeler to handle nasal spray devices in pucks. On our traditional Trotter 127, an overhead pressure belt firmly holds the packages during labeling, but this isn’t possible with nasal spray devices due to the pointed top. Instead, we equipped the Trotter 127 with a hugger belt mechanism at the label application point, which firmly holds the pucks as they move through the labeling station. This eliminates the need for an overhead pressure belt, allowing the tip of each nasal spray device to remain free of contact with machinery components.
The Trotter 127 for nasal spray devices is suitable for oval shaped unit-dose systems (UDS) and round shaped biodose systems (BDS). When applying wraparound labels to biodose systems, the hugger belts can be transformed into a wrap-around application station by moving the belts upwards and towards the product using the system’s built-in adjustment features. A conveyor loop was also integrated to recirculate the pucks.
Whether standard or customized, the Trotter 127 maximizes production flexibility and eases use at an affordable price point. We can configure it to apply wraparound, front-and-back and 3-, 4- and 5-panel labels to round, square, rectangular and oval bottles, including containers with handles. It’s suitable for a wide range of applications including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics and personal care products, household chemicals, food products and more.
