“Be like a sponge; do not be afraid to ask questions”
We recently chatted with Younes Benkabbou, Senior Mechanical Engineer with Pharmaworks. Younes joined Pharmaworks in January of 2021.
You recently joined Pharmaworks, why did you select Pharmaworks as opposed to another company?
The amazing technology and the continued desire by the company to innovate and develop new products.
You’ve worked for similar companies before. What are some of the biggest differences you’ve found working for Pharmaworks versus your prior experience?
A big difference between Pharmaworks/ProMach that I have noticed so far and I really enjoy is the willingness to change a design completely and try something new.
What is a day in your life at Pharmaworks like?
A typical day usually starts with a quick team meeting to go over the daily tasks and challenges. After the meeting, I would resume my work on the project I’m working on which involves 3D modeling, drawing creation, and sizing/specifying design components.
What inspires you to succeed every day?
Coming up with ideas to improve or solve an issue, being creative, learning new things.
What is the most meaningful part of your day?
Solving an issue or completing a project on time.
When do you have the most fun at work?
When I am assigned to a challenging project or asked to solve a difficult problem.
What opportunities or experiences have you most enjoyed?
Learning about the thermoforming process & a new 3D CAD software.
If someone new were joining the team what one piece of advice do you think they should know?
Be like a sponge, learn everything you can and do not be afraid to ask questions.
Thanks for speaking with us, Younes!
