Our standard, high performance beltorque inline bottle capper has been a fan favorite for years. And, when lower speeds and fewer bells and whistles will do the job, our lower priced “Lite” beltorque BT-ICL capper features the same patented cap torque drive.
What makes the beltorque screw capping family unique? Traditional bottle closing machines use discs or spindles that wear and can cause quality issues, like skewed and scuffed caps. Our beltorque family, on the other hand, uses two pairs of belts to gently rotate and tighten caps by synchronizing the speed of the container with the rotating speed of the closure, even when the cap stops turning. This innovative design improves product quality by applying precise torque, eliminating damage to the closure and minimizing the chance of cap skew and slippage, at the same time it reduces maintenance and speeds changeover.
While our standard beltorque BT-IC runs at speeds up to 240 bpm, the beltorque BT-ICL capper caps up to 150 bpm, making it perfect for customers with lower throughput lines. The BT-ICL bottle capping machine is ideal for foods, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care products and more. It handles a range of bottle shapes and sizes as well as a range of closure types, including child-resistant, flip-tops and screw caps, in sizes up to 120 mm.
Both the BT-ICL and the standard beltorque inline cappers are designed for fast and easy changeovers, which are achieved in less than 15 minutes with no tools or fine-tuning required. To meet the needs of each customer, we can equip BT-ICL and beltorque with a fully-integrated cap elevator feeder or centrifugal bowl for tall closures like those on shampoo bottles. An optional, fully-integrated cap inspection system identifies skewed or missing caps, missing foil and fallen bottles and then triggers an automatic reject device.
All NJM packaging machines are known for their high performance, rugged designs and low maintenance. The BT-ICL screw capper features an Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI, AC motors, heavy-duty construction, a stainless-steel cabinet and support frame. Its chute and change parts are precision-machined from solid aluminum and stainless steel.
Here at NJM, we’re always working on ways to improve our already-popular systems, which is why we just introduced BT-ICL’s new optional removable cleats for its cap elevator. These cleats expand the compatible closure shapes to include taller, thicker caps such as grinder caps for the spice industry.
